3 Hours Before Flight Time
The Gosaikunda Trek is a 6-day Himalayan journey that takes you into the heart of Langtang National Park, leading to the sacred Gosaikunda Lake (4,380 m). The trail follows forested mountain paths through traditional villages, alpine meadows, and high-altitude terrain, offering stunning views of the Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges. Along the way, trekkers experience peaceful trails, spiritual significance, and gradual altitude gain.
This trek is moderately challenging yet achievable for fit adventurers and rewards every step with breathtaking scenery, serene lakes, simple teahouse stays, and an unforgettable sense of accomplishment in a short time frame.
We begin the journey with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche, the gateway to Langtang National Park. The drive offers views of hills, rivers, and rural villages. Upon arrival, we prepare for the trek and rest overnight.
Overnight: Dhunche | Drive: 6–7 hours
The trek starts with a gradual ascent through pine and rhododendron forests. Along the way, enjoy mountain views and peaceful trails before reaching Chandanbari, home to a monastery and local cheese factory.
Overnight: Chandanbari | Walking: 5–6 hours
Today is a rewarding but challenging day as we climb toward the sacred Gosaikunda Lake. Passing through high-altitude terrain and smaller lakes, we reach the holy lake surrounded by dramatic Himalayan scenery.
Overnight: Gosaikunda | Walking: 5–6 hours
Spend the morning exploring the sacred Gosaikunda Lake and nearby lakes. After enjoying the serene surroundings, we descend carefully to Lauribina through alpine landscapes.
Overnight: Lauribina | Walking: 4–5 hours
We continue descending through forested trails and traditional settlements back to Dhunche, completing the trekking portion of the journey.
Overnight: Dhunche | Walking: 5–6 hours
After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu, marking the end of the Gosaikunda Trek with unforgettable memories of the Himalayas.
